Recent Visitors to Iran Added to List Who Will be Temporarily Denied Entry Due to Coronavirus Emergency
March 5, 2020
On February 29, President Trump issued a Proclamation which prohibits intending immigrants and nonimmigrants from entering the U.S. if they have been in Iran within the 14 days immediately preceding their entry to the U.S. This proclamation, which went into effect on March 2, amends the previous Presidential Proclamation affecting visitors to the Hubei Province.
These measures are intended to be temporary and the Secretary of Health and Human Services will review the situation every 15 days for the Secretary to recommend that the President continue, modify, or terminate the proclamations.
