Visa Bulletin August 2017

The Department of State has just released the August 2017 Visa Bulletin, which reflects some advancement in the EB3 India category and EB3 retrogression to April 1, 2015 for “All Others,” El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and Philippines. Note: the Visa Bulletin notes indicate that these EB3 numbers (for “All Others,” El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and Philippines) will likely become “current” again at the start of the government’s fiscal year on October 1.
We expect the USCIS will announce shortly whether applicants can rely on the Dates for Filing, or must follow the Application Final Action Dates for filing in August 2017, as has been the case for several months. Applicants should check the USCIS website in the next few days.
