USCIS Releases Updated M-274 Handbook for Completing I-9s

The USCIS has just published on its website an updated version of the M-274 Handbook for Employers to assist with completing the Form I-9. The updated M-274 now incorporates instructions which the USCIS previously provided in a Fact Sheet to provide guidance on how to complete the Form I-9 following provisions of the recent final rule on skilled workers which went into effect on January 17, 2017 and which we described previously. These provisions allow for automatic extension of work authorization when certain individuals apply for EAD extension.
