In today’s edition of the San Francisco Daily Journal, partner Mary Jane Weaver was interviewed relating to the USCIS’ recent announcement that premium processing will be temporarily suspended for all H-1B petitions.
Ms. Weaver stated that the decision comes at a time of increased anxiety around immigration due to the recent Executive Order which bans travel for individuals from certain predominantly-Muslim countries. The announcement on premium processing adds to anxiety levels during an already stressful time for immigration practitioners and employers as they prepare for filing fiscal year H-1B petitions the first week of April.
