Partner Mary Jane Weaver Profiled in University of Minnesota Law School Alumni Magazine

Partner Mary Jane Weaver has become active in her law school alma mater.  The University of Minnesota Law School recently featured Ms. Weaver in its “Spring 2015 Perspectives” publication.  Ms. Weaver credits  former associate professor and fellow law school alumna Anna Shavers, who established the school’s first immigration law clinic, as inspiring Ms. Weaver to pursue a career in immigration law.   Ms. Weaver summed up some of the rewards this niche practice area has brought her since graduation: “Immigration law is at the intersection of family law, criminal law, constitutional law -- it’s a little bit of everything, which suits someone with a liberal arts background and an interest in the way people interconnect.  It’s fascinating.”  Read more here.
