Stephanie Smith Promoted to Senior Associate

August 19, 2014

Weaver Schlenger Mazel is pleased to announce that Associate Attorney Stephanie Smith has been promoted to Senior Associate. Stephanie joined Weaver Schlenger Mazel in 2008 and leads our "Emerging Companies" practice, designed to provide the full service immigration assistance fast growing companies require. She also possesses extensive experience counseling publicly traded entities, universities, and research institutes to secure non-immigrant visas and permanent residency for foreign national employees, trainees, scholars, and exchange visitors. Her past experience includes litigation of family-based adjustment of status, asylum, cancellation of removal, and criminal-related immigration cases in immigration courts and at the appellate level.

Her experience has also been sought after by the media, and she has been invited as a guest on radio and television shows. You can listen to her speak about the H-1B visa crisis in this 2014 interview with FWD.us. In addition to her work with WSM, Stephanie served as the Advocacy Co-Chair for the AILA Northern California Chapter between 2011 and 2014, and she currently serves as an Ambassador for the American Immigration Council. Her advocacy work on behalf of immigration reform has annually taken her to Washington DC, where she has met with Congressional representatives in a continuing effort to spur the reform our immigration system so desperately needs. We are proud to have Stephanie on our team and look forward to many more years of serving our clients' needs with her.
