Partner Mary Jane Weaver will be attending the White House Champions of Change awards ceremony for successful immigrant entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers, and inventors working in a diversity of industries and regions. WSM is honored to be attending and we are optimistic for immigration reform that recognizes the value that highly skilled immigrants bring to our country.
WSM applauds President Obama's efforts in immigration. This year's proposed Comprehensive Immigration Reform is the largest potential overhaul to the US immigration laws in over two decades. We need immigrant entrepreneurs, high skilled workers, and innovators to feel welcome in this country so that they may continue to make vital contributions to our economy. WSM encourages us all to hold legislators accountable to make sure that they pass legislation that makes sense to employers and foreign nationals alike.
