DOS’s Visa Bulletin Delivers on Expectations for EB-2 Indian Nationals and Family 2A Numbers

The Department of State's August Visa Bulletin delivers on its earlier announcements to expect a 3 year forward movement for EB-2 Indian nationals and forward movement for the Family 2A category, due to unused numbers and demand patterns. Movement for other categories was little to none. Based on previous number crunching, we may anticipate some further forward movement EB-2 Indian nationals in the next two months. The DOS warns, however, that it expects a significant amount of demand for Indian EB-2 nationals moving from the EB-3 category, and that, as a result, we should anticipate some retrogression in FY 2014. Employees should plan to file adjustment of status cases as soon as they are eligible.
