US Consulate General in Shanghai Now Offers Submission Via Mail

The U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai now offers visa application submission via mail. This "Drop-box" service is available to applicants renewing a current or recently expired U.S. non-immigrant visa. The Drop-box is also for applicants who are under the age of 14, or 80 years of age or older.
Most applicants using this service will not need to appear at the Consulate for an interview though in certain circumstances, applicants may be called in for an interview.
